Returns

Our refund and returns policy lasts 30 days from the date of delivery. If 30 days have passed since your purchase, we may be unable to offer a refund or exchange.

To be eligible for a return, the item must be unused, uninstalled, and in the same condition in which it was received. Products must be returned in their original packaging and include all components, hardware, documentation, and accessories supplied with the product.

To complete your return, we require a receipt, order number, invoice, or other proof of purchase.

Items Not Eligible for Return

Returns may be denied or subject to a partial refund when:

  • The product has been installed, used, or altered.
  • The product has been damaged after delivery.
  • The product is missing components, hardware, or packaging.
  • The product has been returned more than 30 days after delivery.
  • The product shows signs of improper installation or handling.
  • The product was used outside of its intended application.

Refunds

Platinum Driveline reserves the right to deduct applicable shipping, handling, restocking, or other charges from refunds when permitted by the terms of the sale.

Sale Items

Sale, clearance, closeout, and specially priced items may be subject to different return terms. Unless otherwise stated at the time of purchase, sale and clearance items are non-refundable and non-returnable.

Clutch Warranty

Platinum Driveline provides a 24-month or 24,000-mile limited warranty, whichever occurs first, on qualifying clutch kits and clutch sets, clutch hydraulic products, and flywheels, subject to the terms, conditions, and exclusions outlined below.

The warranty period begins on the date of installation.

Clutch Kits / Clutch Sets

Qualifying Platinum Driveline clutch kits and clutch sets are warranted for 24 months or 24,000 miles from the date of installation, whichever occurs first.

For the clutch-set warranty to apply:

  • The clutch must be properly installed.
  • The clutch disc must be properly installed.
  • The release bearing must be properly replaced.
  • The pilot bearing must be properly replaced.
  • The flywheel must be properly resurfaced or replaced.

Documentation showing that the flywheel was properly resurfaced or replaced may be required as part of a warranty claim.

Clutch Hydraulics

Qualifying Platinum Driveline clutch hydraulic products, including clutch master cylinders and slave cylinders, are warranted for 24 months or 24,000 miles from the date of installation, whichever occurs first.

Hydraulic components must be properly matched to the vehicle application and properly installed.

Warranty coverage does not apply to failures caused by improper application, improper installation, improper servicing, modification, alteration, abuse, misuse, accidents, or other conditions excluded under this warranty.

Flywheels

Qualifying Platinum Driveline flywheels are warranted for 24 months or 24,000 miles from the date of installation, whichever occurs first.

When a flywheel is used with a Platinum Driveline clutch kit or clutch set, the flywheel must be properly resurfaced or replaced as part of the clutch installation for the clutch-set warranty to apply.

Documentation showing that the flywheel was resurfaced or replaced may be required with a warranty claim.

Individual Clutch Components

Individual clutch components sold separately are not covered by warranty.

This includes individual components such as:

  • Clutch discs
  • Pressure plates
  • Release bearings
  • Pilot bearings
  • Clutch hardware
  • Other individual clutch components sold separately from a complete clutch kit or clutch set

When an individual clutch component is purchased separately, Platinum Driveline cannot confirm the complete combination of components being used together.

A clutch system consists of multiple components that must be properly matched to one another and to the specific vehicle application. When components are purchased separately, Platinum Driveline cannot confirm the complete pairing, application, condition, installation, or compatibility of all components in the system.

Because the complete clutch pairing cannot be confirmed in its entirety, individual clutch components are sold without warranty coverage unless a specific written warranty is provided by Platinum Driveline.

What the Clutch Warranty Does Not Cover

The warranty does not cover failures or malfunctions resulting from:

  • High-performance or racing purposes
  • Accidents
  • Improper application
  • Improper installation
  • Modification or alteration
  • Improper servicing
  • Tampering
  • Normal wear and tear
  • Abuse
  • Misuse
  • Neglect

The warranty also does not cover:

  • Products returned without all original components
  • Products that have been altered, improperly installed, or damaged by accident, negligence, or misuse
  • Products damaged by excessive heat caused by clutch slipping
  • Clutches with bent or broken drive straps
  • Oil- or grease-contaminated clutches or discs
  • Discs with bent or broken retainer plates
  • Discs with bent or broken damper springs
  • Discs with damaged hub splines
  • Discs or release bearings installed backwards

Warranty Claim Process

Warranty claims must be submitted through the distributor from which the product was purchased.

The warranty return must include the required Platinum Driveline warranty form.

Depending on the claim, additional information may be required, including:

  • Customer name
  • Invoice or order number
  • Platinum Driveline part number
  • Vehicle year, make, model, and engine
  • Mileage at installation
  • Current mileage
  • Date of installation
  • Description of the concern or failure
  • Photographs of the product and reported concern
  • Documentation showing the flywheel was resurfaced or replaced, when applicable
  • Documentation relating to the installation or replacement of required components
  • Any other information reasonably requested by Platinum Driveline

Products submitted for warranty consideration may be inspected before a warranty determination is made.

Submitting a warranty claim does not guarantee approval.

Warranty Shipping

Products being returned for warranty consideration must be returned to the distributor from which the product was purchased.

Shipping charges must be prepaid by the customer unless otherwise authorized.

We recommend using a trackable shipping service and retaining proof of shipment.

Warranty Determination

Platinum Driveline reserves the right to inspect and evaluate products submitted for warranty consideration.

A warranty claim may be denied when inspection determines that the failure resulted from normal wear, improper installation, improper application, misuse, abuse, modification, contamination, excessive heat, or another condition excluded under the applicable warranty.

If a product is determined to have a qualifying defect covered by the applicable warranty, Platinum Driveline will provide the applicable warranty remedy.

Warranty coverage is limited to the qualifying product and does not include labor, installation, removal, towing, rental vehicles, downtime, lost wages, lost profits, or other incidental or consequential expenses, except where required by applicable law.
